On 20th April, Ultimate Campers unveiled a new look livery for the first time in nearly two decades at the Rosehill Supershow. The new look off-road camper also gets a new name – XPLOR – in addition to new standard features and a comprehensive list of extras.
The colour scheme and shaping of the protective coating have been re-designed to accentuate the aerodynamic contours of the iconic camper whilst giving it a contemporary look. The XPLOR replaces the Elite model in the company’s line-up and will feature alongside the successful XTRK in the Ultimate Campers range.
Standard features of the XPLOR include 110 litre compressor fridge, luxury lounge, dual 100AH AGM deep-cycle batteries and CTEK 15A charger, a Redarc 25A DC-DC charger, 16” brushed steel rims, a king-size bed, more storage space in the nosecone and a full-length front awning.
As part of this process Ultimate Campers also designed an outdoor cooking solution that attaches to the side of the camper. It is simple, innovative and packs away neatly into the nosecone. It will feature as an optional extra in the XPLOR along with enhanced solar options and an inverter.
Commenting on the launch, Ultimate Campers’ Michael and Wendy Hackett said; “The XPLOR is an evolution for us. We believe we designed a classic nearly twenty years ago and the fundamental elements of that design are as good today as they were then but the look was in need of modernisation. We took advantage of that process to upgrade the specification. The chassis and overall shape are the same so our customers will still be getting the lightweight, durable and innovative camper that they have come to expect from us. This new-look model comes a year after the launch of the Nautilus at Rosehill so we certainly haven’t been resting on our laurels.”
The XPLOR starts at $49,950 (includes GST but excludes rego or stamp duty if applicable).
