Ultimate Campers recently expanded its Nautilus production team with the appointment of Adrian Van Antwerpen as Nautilus Production Manager.
Adrian is a career Shipwright with over 25 years of experience in the boat building industry, where his extensive high-level experience has made him an expert in composite materials and composite construction processes.
Adrian’s CV includes being a key figure in helping to establish world class yacht-building company McConaghy Boats’ manufacturing facility in China, and subsequently overseeing the construction of a number of grand prix racing yachts.
In addition to Adrian’s appointment, the company has also installed a Nautilus-specific composite construction section at the company’s Moruya factory, which is separate to the regular production area where the XTRK and XPLOR models are made.
The area has been arranged to allow the efficient production of the more than 50 composite items that go into a Nautilus camper.
Most Nautilus composite items can now be made using a ‘vacuum bagging’ process, which not only provides faster production cycles but also provides for higher quality, more consistent parts to be made than traditional methods.
