A reliable water system depends on clean filling practices, correct pump use, leak checks, appropriate treatment and knowing which tank or outlet supplies each function.
Before filling
- Confirm the source is suitable for drinking
- Use a dedicated clean potable-water hose
- Inspect filler, cap, vent and drain
- Know tank capacities and the weight added
- Avoid introducing treatment chemicals unless approved
At camp
- Switch the pump off when travelling or leaving the camper unattended
- Investigate cycling when no tap is open
- Protect hoses from contamination and vehicle traffic
- Use filtered and unfiltered outlets as intended
- Monitor consumption instead of relying on the gauge alone
Storage and hygiene
Drain, flush and sanitise in accordance with Ultimate and component instructions. Prevent stagnant water, protect filters from freezing or long storage and replace cartridges at their specified interval.
