Tow-vehicle preparation
- Rated towbar, tongue and coupling compatibility
- Correct electrical plug and charging arrangement
- Brake controller installed, configured and understood
- Mirrors, camera and number-plate visibility where required
- Payload and axle assessment with normal passengers and accessories
Paperwork and protection
- Registration and identity details checked
- Insurance active before collection
- Finance conditions and final payment cleared
- Warranty and supplier documents retained
- Emergency contacts and roadside arrangements saved
Use the handover
Film or take notes during the model-specific handover. Operate the coupling, brakes, roof or lid, canvas, water, gas, charging, inverter and appliances yourself rather than only watching.
Plan a short first trip
Choose a nearby destination with time and good light. A short shakedown trip exposes packing and familiarity issues while support and supplies remain close.
