Your first setup and pack-down

A calm training sequence for learning and practising the complete process.

Reviewed August 2026 · General information

Learn the approved model-specific process at handover, then practise it in daylight until both setup and pack-down are calm and repeatable.

Setup sequence

  • Select safe, firm and appropriately level ground
  • Position, brake and chock the camper
  • Disconnect only as instructed
  • Open and stabilise in the prescribed order
  • Deploy canvas and weather protection without forcing components
  • Connect water, gas and power only after visual checks

Pack-down sequence

  • Turn off and secure appliances and services
  • Remove moisture, grit and loose items
  • Fold canvas into its intended zones
  • Stow poles, cushions and equipment in their assigned positions
  • Close without using excessive force
  • Complete coupling, brake, light and walk-around checks

Practise difficult conditions safely

Once familiar, discuss wet-weather and windy-condition procedures with Ultimate. Do not use strong wind as a training exercise; the priority is preventing injury or product damage.
